planning... 2.3l volvo build?

Hey i heard of using the 2.3l head off a 16v volvo head and i was just wondering if what the trans in the ford 2.3l will bolt up to the volvo 2.3l... if someone has pics of this bell housing i would appreciate a pics.. i am a volvo tech and i know of awesome power out of the motors because everything is forged stock... but i dont know that much about 4 cyl rangers.. any comments are welcome

If you are talking about what transmission will bolt onto the volvo block, i wouldn't think ford transmissions would be compatible. However if the head off of a Volvo was bolted onto a ford 2.3L it would require fabrication to make it work properly. Check out www.allfordmustangs.com, they have a write up on there about it; I am not sure if it is stickied so you may have to use the search function to find it. Check it out I heard this definitely opens up this motor. As for the transmission, the factory one will work because you are only modifying the heads and not the block, so compatibility will be irrelevant to this project.
