another member asked for some pics, here's some of my 2000 S/Cab I sold last December to make way for my 2020. Bought it brand new from a broker in Portland, OR, took delivery on Nov. 7, 1999.
Yups, thats the original mileage...

I don't count birthday's anymore...just happy to be looking down at the ground instead of looking up
That was a really nice looking 20 year old truck. Looked to be very well maintained. Only around 4600 miles a year...super !!!
Gotta ask why you got a new one ? Just tired of the old ?

She was my "baby", I'd rinse and wipe her down every morning I got off duty at the station, which was located right on Honolulu Harbor. It sat in my carport because my last 4 years with HFD was spent as a fire inspector which found me on the road daily. The 15 mpg it gave me was killing me, so I used my beater '99 Honda CR-V instead.
When Ford announced some 3 years ago that they were reviving the Ranger again, I vowed to myself I'd own one, besides it's my retirement gift to myself and the last time I bought a new vehicle it was the 2000 S/Cab, 20 years ago.
I posted the 2000 on facebook messenger, the second respondent bought it cash...

Good for you, and happy retirement.
Been retired for awhile now, and busier now than when I worked.
