Koda has a good point -
right click at the top of your image and select duplicate image. This will make a copy of the entire image then you can edit the other items with the logos and such remaining where you placed them in the original.
The only other way would be to set up guides and then set them up in the donor image in the same place. So when you drag and drop you can place them with the guides. More time consuming and mind boggling trying to get them exact. I think option 1 is your best bet.
Good Luck web development can be intensive and monotonous work, but if you take your time and pay attention to the little details - it will be great.
