I’m flashing code 25. I’d love to be able to turn on the passenger air bag and remove the entire switch assembly. Is that possible? Why would it give me a choice?!?!

thanks in advance.

The switch is there in case you have a car seat or small child in the front seat. Later years got rid of the switch and use a weight sensor in the seat that will only turn the airbag on if the occupant weighs over 50 pounds or something like that. Also having it turned off when no one is in the passengers seat will save you ALOT of money if you are in an accident.

Just replace the switch, you can get one in a junkyard for 5 bucks.

I feel like I’d just turn it on and forget it regardless. Could I bridge the connection or swap it for the new weight sensor?

I just really really wanna do away with the whole assembly. So I can save space for my console and radio setup I’m working on.

I've never fiddled with one so no idea if you could just connect the wires together and get rid of the switch. If it's just 2 wires then I can't see why not but ford rarely makes things that simple. :dunno:

@RonD would know...

The weight sensor thing definitely won't work in your truck, there's extra computer nonsense involved with those so it would be a very complicated swap.
