i would pick a color but paint it with a reaction job. paint it in steps like 100 % paint then 75% paint 25 clear and 50 50 then 25 paint 75 clear then 10 % paint and 90 % clear. Shines like a basterd and looks beautiful in candy red. If you keep the color scheme theirs less sanding!
thanks. i just saw an episode of trucks on spike tv that was talking about a paint job like that. i hadnt thought about that though. that is a good idea. thanks.:icon_thumby:

probably my monitor, but it looks black to me.
its not the best pic of it, but i looked at it in the actual paint chip book. It looks black from a distance, but once you get close enough and the sun hits it, the red metallic really shows up. it looks pretty cool in the sun.

Try and stick to a red base to save repainting in the doors and engine area - unless you are stripping it and doing it properly.

I'm gonna sand down the whole truck and repaint it. The red base wont matter so much because the color is almost black with red metallic. The engine compartment is going to suck painting, but im gonna scuff it the best i can and probably just paint it black, i am, however, going to rejam the whole truck in the midnight red metallic.
