Has anyone used automotive paints like PPG to paint a body?

I was hoping to use PPG or the Duplicolor color matching spray cans. Did you sand/prep the plastic like you would when doing standard autobody, or something else?

I didn't ask for your life story, just answer the question!
Automotive paint isnt going to stick to lexan very well. It will crack and peel from temp changes or crashes.

Now if your painting a polycarbonate body, (think old school tamiya, white plastic) automotive paint will work.

Automotive paints, even if you can get them to bond well won't work for long. Paint for Lexan needs to be flexible...

Bend an rc body, paint doesn't crack. Bend a body panel paint cracks.

For the 3-5 bucks the right stuff costs I wouldn't waste a $30-$40 body on experimenting.
