So here in Nova Scotia people like to say we have different seasons then most people, one of which is "construction". I have driven though some paint from painting the lines on the road.

Just wondering what the best way to remove this might be? Nothing like white paint on black paint eh?

Sorry I can't be of much help but it happened to me a few years ago, and whatever that stuff is that they paint the lines with is some pretty rugged stuff. I never did get it off mine.

The paint in the second picture I CAN live with, its not seen as easily as the stuff in the first picture....That stuff just bugs me.

It's slowing falling off when I wash the truck, but the rate its going I'll be in a new truck before its gone...I'm just not sure what sorta tools and whatnot would be the most efficient of only removing the white paint and not everything else haha.

Try some mineral spirits and a light plastic scrubbing pad.

how about thinner? since its a heavy-duty akrylic, use a thinner or a cheap enamel to remove it, be quick though, the cheap stuff dried fast >.>

Or goto Advanced Autos and get a can of spray on "Black Gloss - Replica Colors".

give a clay bar a try. it removes surface contaminants from the paint. from past experience it will remove overspray. Might do the trick with that stuff

I'd start with tar and bug remover and finish with some polishing compound.

mix pickel juice, urine and lemon juice (fresh) together, the aciditiy of it will eat surface paint in 1 hour, used to do it with my truck intil I found it ate a hole through the fender, it was bondo, an it ate its way through it!!!!

eww

id take some laquer thinner and some rubbing compound and that should take it off.

if you keep the rag wet with thinner, it wont hurt the paint.

just go slow and be careful..then compound the area when your done. its the only ways its going to come off.

I think I'll give that clay bar thing a try. I'll let you know what worked best tomorrow when I actually have time to mess with it.

Thanks for the help guys.

Try rubbing compound, I work in a body shop and the compound takes care of alot of things.

You're in Nova Scotia, are you driving a brand new Ranger Sport? I'm up there all the time and I swear to God every Ranger up there is an '09 or '10 Sport model, it's nuts! A few years ago it seemed like everyone had a Cavalier and now it's changed over to Chev Aveos and Ranger Sports, lol

Yeah 2010 Sport. Every other ranger I see on the road is at least a 08+ same with the F-150 actually, pretty much everyone I see is also more or less new.
