Hi everyone, I plan on installing this lift within the next few weeks, and i'm wondering how this will affect my front tow hooks. Will I have to remove the part of the bumper underneath them altogether? I just think it will look weird but i dont really know...any help thanks

I asked this EXACT SAME question like 2 weeks ago. If you look, your tow hooks are removable. Simply take them off and install the body lift.

But, I'm not sure about putting them back on once the lift is installed.

I can't remember who it was that posted pics, but he just cut like 4 x 4" sections out from his bumpers and re-installed the hooks at their stock location. It looked pretty good. That's what I'm going to do. I just installed the 3" PA BL and it looks great. I'll look around and see if I can find that thread.

The cutout of the tow hooks looks pretty ghetto imo, and the cross member they bolt to still sucks. I vote for getting a front hitch receiver, much much better than the crap stock crossmember

buy some tow hooks from 4wheelparts and mount them to the underside of the frame rails on the truck. i have one on each side of my ranger. drill two holes for each hook and your good to go! (grade 8 bolts for sure)

dont forget a skidplate!! cracked my radiator due to no protection from body lift.

Yeah the only way to keep the stock tow hooks is to cut some ugly notches in the valence.

http://www.racecardynamics.com/products/accessories/skidplates.htm

i got it from my local 4x4 shop for about $95. however, ive done a lot of business with them over the years so they give me deals every now and then.

it should be about $130-$150. it is solid!! (and has saved my radiator multible times!)

let me know if you want pics of the skidplate and/or the tow hooks.

YES! Definitely want to see your pictures. pictures are always good. thank you and thank everyone for the responses. I was considering fabricating my own skid plate but might be easier to just buy one that can bolt right on to my 99.
