1997 Ranger 4.0 5 speed. Losing coolant (1/8 gallon in 1500 miles), rough idle, and will bog right after started sometimes, also only getting about 12-13 MPG. Lower intake manigfold gasket? Fuel rail to intake manifold gasket?

These are the most common codes on the planet. I pull those 2 at least 6 times a week at work.

The most common reasons are: Dirty MAF ( get CRC Mass Air Flow Cleaner ), leaking PCV hose connection. There are some other reasons but lean codes almost NEVER mean bad O2 sensors and don't let parts counter jockeys tell you different. I should know cause I am one!

Ha yea I know they are common codes, knew they weren't O2 codes, just trying to figure out what is common on a 4.0 with those codes. And I am also a parts counter jockey. I used the pos at work to just pull codes, suppose I should grab my good one form my parents and get some love data to see what she is doing.
