Heyllo Gents, I have a 1991 Ranger STX that I am shoehorning a 5.0 into...i would like to use the t-5 tranny along with it. I just think a 5 speed would be fun. So obviously i need to go with a divorced t-case. I was talking to a guy on the west coast that was going to sell me a dana 24,. Can anyone tell me if that a good case and any other options i would have? Like everyone else I dont have a huge wallet to go and buy aftermarket high$$$ parts!!! Since i have the 5,0 and tranny already i figured it would be cost effective to go this way. any input as far as options or even automatic in comparison would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.......

Hey Dale. If you are set on using the T-5 look into the older jeeps that actually had a T-5 behind the 6 cyl. Those are World Class T-5 specs and are good trannies. Other way to go would be with a trans from a F150. I am not sure which shifter plate you need but there is a year out out there that would line up with the hole in the floor board.
