I know the factory, at least on the later models, used sound deadening under the cab too.

I don't remember exactly what day it arrived but it was about two weeks. It was over the 4th of July weekend so it probably took a little longer than average.

Got email today that mine has shipped. Says the 29th delivery date, that's tomorrow. That's only 6 days. Not to bad for what I'm use to. Mail is slow everywhere now. Hope the quality of the products is as good. Dirty

The soundproofing is turning out to be a much bigger job than I anticipated. Worst part is under the seats where there's a bunch of curves plus grommets and holes I don't want to cover. I'll post some pics once the second layer is finished.

I'm on day 5 and about 10 hours in. I can't imagine how people do this on vehicles with more interior space without wanting to throw themselves off a cliff. 🤣

Yep, its a hair puller. When the backing comes off to soon i seem to find new words to describe how I'm feeling and it aint pleasant. I had to take up what someone else put down. A wire brush and a drill makes quick work of the soft closed cell foam. If water gets in between the foam and floor it rust and comes loose. Had to fix 3 leaks before i laid it down. The worst one was behind the ECM. Should get the vinyl flooring today. Ill post a pic when it does. Dirty

Found a package on the front porch this morning. Got it laying inside now after reading the only set of instructions there is. Looks pretty thick. Wonder if i have to wait 48 hours to install this? Dirty

If you can, post up a picture of the thickness for us. With something next to it for scale maybe..

It would probably not line up right after installation because the creases would continue to relax. After you've cut holes and put back the bolts it couldn't expand, which would leave wrinkles.

Cant do anything with it at 72 degrees. This is rigid stuff when at room temp. I had about 15 to 20 percent excess. Just kept trimming till it fit. The warm day made it easy to work with outside. Cut it big for the contracting process it will do when it turns cold. Start with the seats tomorrow. I took the shifter all the way out, just seemed easier. Dirty

Daaaaang, that looks nice! Where did you order it again, and how much was your total?

My 87 needs it badly. The factory vinyl floor is split all around the shifter.

Same place Woogie got his. He started the thread before me. ACC is the company. Looking for woogie for some pics. He has a 95 extended cab. The only problem i had is taking it in and out so many times my arms are sore but it paid off. This stuff is hard to train unless it is subject a heat gun or set it it the sun until its pliable. My total to the door was 187.00. Found out why the shifter is sloppy. I think Core shifters are back in business. Better order before they shut down.

I put one in my f160 years ago, just pulled it out of the box and splayed in there.

This looks 1000x better.

Still working on my foam layer. The stuff I used has a foil backing so right now the inside of the cab looks like a baked potato. I had to order another roll to finish the roof. Hopefully that will come tomorrow.

I think ACC is the only company making the floor for these trucks, so anywhere you order is going to come from them. I checked with the local dealer and the OEM vinyl floor has been discontinued long enough that there is no more stock. So it's ACC unless you can find a good one at a junkyard. Rock Auto is probably the cheapest source because they do so much volume the shipping cost is lower.
