I'm bored... post some of your favorite weird, genius, insane or old time tricks/hacks for fixin stuff.
One that I just used today while removing the 30 year old range hood from my kitchen, dip the tip of your screwdriver in valve griding compound before trying to remove an old or rusty screw that you just know is going to strip. The grinding compound adds friction to the bit to keep it from slipping out and stripping the screw.
If your sick of tubes of glue and adhesive drying up, put them in a mason jar and stick it in the fridge. You could go even further and put some rice in the bottom of the jar. Stuff like superglue cures from exposure to moisture (which is why it cures instantly on skin), keeping it in a cold dry place will keep it from drying in the tube.
Now you talk...
