I'd like to change out my old and severely busted OEM seats with
JEGS Performance GS-1 High Back Sport Seat. Can't I simply remove the OEM Seat Mounting Bracket and bolt it directly to the new seat?
The customer service at JEGS is extremely polite but clueless on Ranger parts and there doesn't seem to be too many options on Ranger seats on the market.
If I don't HAVE to get some custom seat brackets made, I'd be grateful.

At a minimum you may have to make some sort of adapter bracket from the seat base to the existing seat tracks which would require some welding. IIRC my brother used similar seats in his Explorer that required some light fabrication to make fit.
