Hi to everyone. Just bought a 2009 Ranger XL, base longbed. Only options are an auto tran and ac.
Thing is, it's has just under 23,000 original miles, and is in pristine condition. Aside from a sprayed in bed liner, the truck is totally original, down to the original tires. No rust, no dents, and 4 small paint chips that I found. Even has the original paint orange peel in a few areas. Was owned by the "little old neighbor" who is in a nursing home...wife is selling off some stuff and asked if I wanted the truck...we do favors for her and watch out for her. Wanted to give me the truck because it had been sitting for a few years with just basic maintaince and she was afraid it would be a problem. Paid her aome bucks which she didn't want or need.
Cleaned it up and it looks showroom new, and runs like new. New tires, fluid change out (still had original fluids) and I have a "new" old truck.
Plans are to keep it totally original, and show it at local shows and cruise in's. Have spent the last few days giving it a total detailing (my q-tip and toothbrush detail).
I'll get some photos up later today when wife transfers them from phone to puter.
