I got this old wagon running gear with my place. It is made from an old car frame with a kit. Always been kinda curious what kind of car it was, I don't think it is a Model A, the rear axle doesn't look right. They might have been changed with the kit but it also has 6 lug wheels. The thing has always been intriging to me (was my great grandfathers) and I would like to make a flatbed or something to put back on it at some point.

Any ideas what it was?

Dutton-Lanson is still in business in Hastings NE, I toured the factory when I was in college. They make pickup hitch stuff now.

Yeah, brakes were on the rear only.

I had heard that T's had wood frames and discounted them (Kingsford BBQ brickets started out as scraps from Model T frames)

Upon more research the body had a wooden frame that sat on the steel running gear frame.

I was looking at it the other day and decided whatever it was it wasn't very long, didn't seem to fit with the Model A era but I still thought a T had a wooden frame. Didn't know if it was a Dodge or some other little outfit that didn't make it. The bolt on wheels were throwing me off too.

Thanks!
