My credo
Give 'yer balls a tug. Fight me.
Surprises me that they are not standard on vehicles, especially the newer GDI stuff. The amount of crap they catch on my vehicles is impressive.

And yes, the one on the Lima appears to be completely worthless.

Oh well. Powder coating and shoving it back in because Ford decided to not make it easy to eliminate/bypass.

I poop in the furnace.
Does that thing have the PCV valve built in? My 2.3 is old so that thing is literally just a breather cap for mine, it doesn't go anywhere.

My duratec is a plastic plate in the same basic location with the PCV valve on top.

My 83 has that and the PCV as well. The pcv is at the end of a hose off the top of that thing and sits next to the distributor cap.

I'd like to can the whole works; the pcv causes issues with the 5200 carb I put on. I haven't found a pcv valve that doesn't open up too soon and lean things out right off idle. It's manageable right now, but only by using an idle jet that's too big and a main that's too small. Bypass gases have to go somewhere, though.

Haha yes it does! I was thinking of routing a tube off the separator, through a catch can, and down to below the frame. Just haven't got around to actually doing any of it.

My credo
Nothing is so difficult it cannot be overcome by brute force and ignorance =8-)
Tom had it : heat will do the trick, as mentioned it works great on old two-smoker pipes and all metal oil / vapor separators .

Use a BBQ and et ready for some serious smoke ~ that's how you know it's working : when evil stinking smoke begins bellowing out, the old carbon is cooking off .

Easy-Peasy but not neighbor friendly .
