Howdy guys, this is my first post! I've had my ranger for a little over a year now, and she needs a new engine! Its a 93, and it has the 4.0 overhead valve engine, and I can get my hands on a 2001 4.0 for a real decent price. I've perused through the forums quite a bit now, but I still have a few questions that I couldn't find an answer to.
Will this mount directly to my automatic transmission?
Is the mounting the same?
What am I going to have to do as far as wiring? Anything custom?
I am in a real rush to do this, as I need my truck asap, is this something that will be relatively plug and play?
thanks so much guys:beer:

typo in title, should be SOHC not since

My credo
I didn't ask for your life story, just answer the question!
If you're just doing it to save a few buck... Stop right now.

It will cost more to put that engine in then it would to buy the right engine.

After you get it switched from obd1 to obd2 you'll wish you hadn't tried to save a few bucks.
