You should be able to find that info in the wiring diagrams.
You should be able to look at your exhaust and see how many you have.

My 1990 Bronco II has only one HEGO sensor. The 1990 EVTM (Ford wiring diagrams) shows only one HEGO sensor on the 2.9, both Federal and California.

So yours "should" have just one, but anything is possible on a 30 year old truck.

My 1990 Bronco II has only one HEGO sensor. The 1990 EVTM (Ford wiring diagrams) shows only one HEGO sensor on the 2.9, both Federal and California.

So yours "should" have just one, but anything is possible on a 30 year old truck.
is a 'HEGO' sensor different than an o2 sensor? and is it right before your exhaust?

No, HEGO is the same as O2 (Heated Exhaust Gas Oxygen). On mine it's on the Y-pipe before the cat.
