A '96 F-150 with the factory cam IS NOT a HO firing order.

It has a roller cam in it, was the same when I got it from the dude, only changed a collapsed lifter and my pushrods

Roller is just roller, they came in both flavors.

I'll try the other firing order an see what goes down, when I was first tryna fire it up I tried both orders and it sounded off time on the non ho order, and turned over fine with the ho one

Then I would stick with HO firing order it would barely idle with wrong firing order

As said this is strictly a CAM issue, it sets the firing order you use, i.e. does the intake valve on #3 or #5 open after #1's intake valve, either way works, its just how the cam was cut when it was made
There is no benefit in either firing order over the other, just depends on the cam that was used in that 302 V8

Injectors all get 12volts with key on from a wire they all share
Computer has one ground wire for each injector to open it, sequential injection, follows the firing order

Earlier EFI computers did use Batch Fire, just 2 computer grounds each opening 3 injectors(V6) or 4 injectors(V8)

V6 engine wiring would only have 6 injector plugins, V8 computer would have 2 extra
Look at the original injector wires
There would be a red wire on each thats the 12v
If each injector has a different color Ground wire(6 colors) then its a Sequential injection harness
If there are just 2 colors shared then its Batch Fire harness

It has the 8 different wire colors for injector grounds

You could add those 2 extra wires to computer connector

302 has this firing order, applies to injectors as well as spark plugs, 1 5 4 2 6 3 7 8

1 thru 6 wires should be there, just in the wrong places if still in the V6 harness tape
1, 2 and 3 would be on the passenger side and correct, but 4 would have to be moved to passenger side rear injector
Then 5 and 6 at the front of drivers side
7 could be hooked to 6 and then 8 to 3

But I doubt thats your issue
So if I rewire the injectors in a proper layout its 1-3 already good to go, 4 needs to be extended and moved to the back and 5 an 6 get moved onto what would be 5 an 6 injectors, would 7 branch from 6 an what about 8

Its setup to be batch fire from the v6 currently and I'm pretty sure the comp I have is batch fire as well

I did some swapping on the injectors and it feels rougher than before I moved the 4th injector wire onto the passenger an wired the 7th to the 6.th and the 8 to the 3, but on the v6 harness seems to be wired as a batch with 1 an 2 firing with one from the other side and 3 firing with the other 2 from the drivers , I'm gonna prolly go score a 2.9l harness from the jy

I have the f150 map sensor and it runs terrible with that not hooked up

The idle when I push the clutch in when moving down the road after it starts chugging or losing 2 cylinders Is what I think, it's dropped down to like 800 or lower not entirely sure but it feels rougher running now than before as well

Is sequential fuel specific for ho motors?

Upon inspection the v6 harness has the first 2 injectors wire together and then the 3 isnt tan but white an wraps to the other wire junction and 2 on the drivers are white and one tan the tan on the drivers wraps back to the first 2 injectors,1,2,4 are tan and 3,5,6 are white but as i was working I found a wire not connected am gonna fix that and check it out from there
