wouldn't it have started to knock or something by now i have started and ran it a few times before i realized this, the needle doesnt move at all.
im thinking it could be a bad sending unit but im not sure any help is apreciated

Its a $5 part...replace it.

If it had no oil pressure you would know it. It would be making all kinds of racket.

Better yet, huck it in the bin and use that $5 towards a real oil pressure gauge. A $20 mechanical or electrical gauge will tell you way more than that useless idiot switch does.

The factory switch is all one needs to know about his pressure... It'll tell you if you got it and it'll tell you if you don't... For me a simple red light works too.
The oiling system in modern engines is so reliable no kind of gauge would prolly be as good as a wide range mechanical one..
