I posted finished pics in the "let's see your bumpers" thread but I know how everyone loves to see pictures (I know I do). On to the build pics...

This was the first bumper I built, I wasn't satisfied so I cut into it and changed up it's look.




I welded the both sides of the 2x2 and 2x4 together and on the exposed side of the bumper and held the grinder on an angle and got kind of a U shaped channel look rather than just the look of bead, I think it looked pretty cool.




I'm missing some stages in between steps but you get the idea.








I'm sure I'll have it back off before long to either modify it or start from scratch and build something new.

if it were mine, i would recess some back-up lights and have a couple shackle mounts:icon_thumby:

yeah I know but my fab skills are a hell of lot better than my drawing skills ,I am no artist !!! I will post up build pics of the front and rear bumpers and i like this bumper the best for my truck for the front...

it looks good but i think you should incorporate some d shackles mounts in it.

I agree, know of anywhere that sells them or should I just have some made locally? It'd cost me more in drill bits and grinding wheels than it would buying them. Also destroyer I got alot of idea's from your front bumper that I plan to incorporate into mine when I build it.
