The kit is $140, they are actually readily available to order too.

Tear a blade and you sure as heck won't turn up a replacement just anywhere though. 0 dealers have them in stock.

Betting a high likelihood of it freezing up in the winter. Probably great for dealing with mud and dust though

The little hoses will love constantly flexing in cold too...

It's just an oddball wet arm wiper, been messing with them on buses for as long as I've worked on them. they very rarely freeze up and the arms usually wear out before the hose cracks. one would assume the aftermarket will pick them up if the take rate is decent. 140 bucks for two sets of blades, a pair of arms, and all the associated hardware is not a bad deal really. Wouldn't take much to adapt the arms to a Dyna style nozzle with decent coverage either, those are peanuts to replace.

It’s common for big trucks to have the sprayer on the wiper arm… neither of these things have been an issue before. We’ll see if Jeep can screw that up.

Chrysler vans like to break the hose where the hood hinges lol.

Keep your mind like an umbrella, it only works if its open... Continually learning.
Meh, either slow down and don't splash the windshield or wait for the 2nd swipe to clear the dirty water. Take the 140 and buy a GMRS radio.

I'd like to see how it cleans the mud clumps off...

Not too worried about the hose on the arm freezing or breaking, but that the fluid sprays out of “laser cut” holes in the blade. My GFs 05 Malibu has the hoses and sprayer on the arms and it’s usually fine

The wiper fluid i use in winter is rated to -40. C or F, it's the same at that temp. Propane is liquid at -42C

After watching the “winter” rated de-icer Prestone stuff freeze on my windshield once I start down the road, I can’t help but wonder

I think it is a neat feature though,

> Some other vehicles feature spray nozzles located on the wiper arms to create a similar effect

I had a 1980s Ford van that did the same thing stock from the factory, it just did not have 12 holes drilled into the wiper to spread a wave of fluid across the windshield. As someone noted, some big rigs come with sprayers that turn on before the wipers.

I just wish the normal squirters would come on BEFORE the wipers started moving, if there's any mud on the windshield waiting for the second swipe just spreads the mud around scratching the windshield... sure that fancy BS would work better but is overkill...
