Congratulations, doing that at 81 you are definitely a gear head. I'm 74 and it's getting harder by the year to roll under a vehicle and to roll off the creeper.

Grew up in the 70s, 80s, and 90s
i think i read that article back in the 90s. i was in high school and had my 85 f150 and always read the truck mags at the rack in walmart or heb.

nowhere seems to have a magazine rack anymore except the airport and books a million.

Glad you joined up with old geezer mechanics and yes I dread crawling under a dash but just did so reworking my '75 Ranchero - which I bought new.

The 2002 Ranger XLT, which I inherited from my Dad, is all new territory but not as daunting as first I feared.
