A good portion of why I go to auctions and stuff is my brother farms and I'm the designated fabricator and mechanic for most things (a lot anymore is just guiding my brother in the right direction), as many know if you bought all new when starting farming you can go broke in no time flat... he hasn't done that but it takes a bit of repairing 50-80 year old equipment and sometimes modernizing things or reinventing something else to do it... plus I like tinkering obviously so it works out
Yeah, I'm trying to get better about acquiring stuff but I grew up in it garage saleing with my grandma, been to auctions since I was tiny, it's hard to turn down good deals but I'm working on it
