Hi.
I'm the (proud?) owner of a 2002 FX4 automatic for two weeks now.
Got it fairly cheap as a project truck, but hope to get it fixed rather quickly.
Seems like the drivetrain needs a lot of work.
I'm currently working on the rear end, but that's no big deal.
I have more problems with the T-case. I pulled the actuator motor today to check if I can manually engage the 4x4.
The shaft spins freely between 2H and 4H, no resistance and the front output is not engaged in 4H. Trying to go to 4L is more difficult, lots on spring pressure to overcome. I didn't try to force it and am more concerned about the other situation.
I checked the T-case tag and it says:
AI822 1354-38
115347 1L54-CE
Can anyone please help me with some advice and maybe ID my T-case?
Thanks a lot.
Olivier
