a friend of mine recently rolled and wrote off his 2003 ford ranger 2.3 swb 5spd. don't worry he's fine. we had the truck up on a lift and could find no damage to the frame which got us to thinking, my 1995 ranger swb 2.3 5spd has an immaculate body in a not so common colour with custom graphics, but the motor and everything under the truck is tired and worn out so why not put my body on his frame. he is a journeyman millwright machinest I am a mechanic and we have welders and electritions who will work for beer and pizza so why not try it

Im sure there will be some customization and modification required, 'cause didn't they change the frame in 98 with the new front suspension?

Sounds like a good project though! pics pics pics!

Why not just swap drivetrain? Seems easier to me.

That shouldn't be a horrible swap. The frame changed some, but most of the critical stuff should be in the right place. You might need to swap dashes but since yours is a 95 you already have the newest style dash for a Ranger. It might even plug right in.
