I thought I'd get on the forums since my Ranger is going on 16 and I'm sure I'll need you help from time to time.

I've looked at the forums for a while now and mybe I can add some usefull information from time to time. I bought my Ranger new in April of 1992 and have been pretty satisfied. I've had the oil pan off to dig out all the factory sealant clogging up the oil pickup screen, rebuilt the aircond and converted to 134a. Now I'm starting to have trouble with engaging first and reverse. I'm replacing the plastic bits in the shifter mechanism to start as they are very worn and broken. I can imagine the ground up plastics in the tranny. Other than that new tires and brakes is all I've done mechanically. Worst case I'll replace the slave, master, clutch etc pretty soon. I may or may not do it myself, I haven't decided.

I put on new seat covers last year as I finally wore out the drivers' seat. I've only got 97K showing now so I expect another 200k or so!
