Hey guys I recently bought a 1987 bronco II as a project. No spark issue. I found the fuel relay had the orange lt blue wire cut and ran under to the frame rail and tied into the same color wire. With the key on the pumps came on for a second. Unhooked coil wire to check spark and no spark. Removed tfi module and ohm tested it. Installed a new motorcraft module. Still no spark key on unplugged the tfi here are the results
Ground cable is on the distributor.
Battery is currently 11.55
1 4.4 volts
2 11.2
3 11.2
4 zero
5 11.48
6 4.0

What's the worst that could happen?
11.55 on the batt is not ideal, but then, what is?

I get stuck when using this.
I have zero spark
Step 1 I check the coil
Zero spark
Removed distributor cap and shaft is turning
Connectors are good
Step 4 Requires a tfi tester, I don’t have one.
step 5 is checking tfi. I have tested and confirmed I have a good tfi. (Replaced with a Motorcraft brand

Charge your battery. Good battery is 12.8V. Should have minimum of 12.2V and due for replacement.

I know that 86 rangers had no cel stock. Perhaps your 87 is early enough to not have it as well. Or someone switched gauge cluster?

4/87 build date would be late production 86 model

Does your truck have an EGR? If it does you can delete the EGR and run an 87/88 computer because they didn’t have EGR. Manuals and autos have different computers, same as engine size. You can run an auto computer in a manual, it’s going to have a high idle and complain about not seeing the transmission though, best to have the correct one. There’s also Federal and California emissions

I need to look to be 100% sure about the egr.
Let’s just put it this way I need the bare minimum as this will be a hunting vehicle that will never see roads or be inspected. I do believe my ecm is powering as I can unplug the connector and none of the relays are powered. This no spark issue is very frustrating.
