alright so i installed new front pads and rotors. took my time, kept my hands off of the contact surfaces, greased everything and used quality parts. i finished the install and tested the brakes. they worked great. then after about 10 miles the screech began. i narrowed the noise down to the front left. the next day i took the left pads off and hit them with some sandpaper and brake clean. tested them and the screech continued. :dunno: what do i do????? all suggestions are appreciated.

Is it a constant screech? Or only when you are braking?.... only when you're not braking? I ask because it's possible that the wheel bearing could be the source of the noise.

I'd find an empty stretch of road and go 60mph the brake hard several times to heat treat the new pads and rotors.

If it's still there after that I'd flip the pad on the left rotor. Switch the inner with the outer.

If you bought the cheapest pads that were offered then that might just be a characteristic if them. Cheap pads are notoriously noisy.
