Hi ALL,
Took weeks of searching and a few failed attempts at some long distance dealerships but I finally got the exact 2020 Ranger I was hunting for yesterday.

Magnetic
FX2
Lariat
501A Tech
Only things missing were the weather proof mats and the running boards which are both a blessing kind of.

Already ordered Maxliner mats and bed liner and N-Fab Step Runningboards before I made it home from the dealership.

On the short list once I comb the forum over a bit for info will be a leveling kit and then some slightly more aggressive tires than the garbage that came on it. Little bigger also but I got the 4x2 very intentionally due to massive freeway driving so nothing crazy.

Anyways,
I'm in a small suburb outside of Sacramento. I have Harley's. Used to do the big 4x4 thing a lot. Rolled my last lifted SUV and just been putting around in my commuter since. Needed a truck again but nothing massive. Been building race cars most of my life. Love my beer. Married, kids, guns, hunt etc. etc.

Happy to see there is a place to hunt for info and be part of a community

My credo
In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.
Congratulations!

No plans of 4 wheeling this thing. Always had sliders on my bigger rigs but I got the FX2 cause I’ll be down a lot of muddy or gravel roads but that’s about it. Full length rails do a nice job of clipping the back of your calves every time you get out of the truck. That’s why I went for the step style.

Cool.

We're not planning on doing much 4 wheeling either. I just though,t since I'm spending money, that something actually structural that bolts to the frame would protect the humans in the truck and the truck sheet metal better than steps that attach to the sheet metal floor of the cab.

Pretty sure a pissed off Prius T-boning our truck would basically just turn the Prius into an expensive floor jack :icon_thumby:
