So after a run of bad luck with computers for the last few year I finally broke down and bought myself the first new computer I have had for myself since my parents got me a laptop for college when I graduated high school.

I got a Dell Inspiron 2-in-1. It's a little thing, only 11" screen, but it's touch screen enabled and can fold over 360 degrees to be used as a tablet. No on-board optical drive, and only two USB ports, but it can't weigh more than two or three pounds. But it also has an SD slot and blue-tooth, which none of my previous computers had.

The wife gave me a budget limit of $1000, so I sprung for the good processor and got the 4-year full accidental damage. I felt the accidental damage was worth it given the life of my last one, which first needed a hard drive because a dog knocked it over, then it needed hinges because a dog leaned into it and broke them, and then was finally replaced because a dog knocked it over and broke the screen. It had other issues, but that was just the last straw. It was briefly replaced by an HP that had charge port issues and a 5 minute battery life.

Loving the touch screen. Also, I am fairly addicted to the Kindle app on my phone, so I just about creamed my pants when I found this thing already came with a Kindle app installed. Now I just need to find a SmartGlass app for Windows and I'll just throw my phone away.

Reads like a nice computer.

I use a Dell D620(5 years old) as my work computer, it is in and out of the truck alot, banged around a bit, only thing I have needed is new battery pack, old one still works just down to 30min use.
I wouldn't hesitate to get another Dell, no complaints here.

My First NEW computer is actually a Blackberry Playbook Tablet that I've had for 15months now.

My Quad-core Desktop computer (a high-end HP Elite desktop) was "Rescued" from a recycling center and rebuilt, My "Good" notebook is a Dell 1525 That I literally garbage picked and rebuilt & upgraded.

The playbook's purpose is to replace my old Fujutsu Tablet, my idea of a mobile media player
