Seems to me a wiggle test would be in order.
Idle the vehicle and wiggle harnesses until you hear it stumble or stall.
I'd put the original distributor back in there. I've gotten enough complete crap "rebuilds" from Kragen to assign them to the dump. What kind of operation sells "rebuilt and tested" carburetors with the idle screw driven right through the casting?
