Still could be the RAM chip...if you can find a replacement unit for parts that would be a good project...they're not hard to work on...just a pita for someone with big hands...lol

Just an update. Replaced the motherboard tonight and it works fine now.

For sure. It was butt clinching the whole time dealing those tiny fragile parts and ribbons

Once I took my xbox 360 apart to it's basest components. The disc drive was a pile of parts on my desk.

It worked as well as it did before once I put it back together.

taken a laptop apart lol

LOL...probably as well as some of the things I've taken apart...I have a box of extra parts that seem to not be needed by these things...

Just take out the little red ring and paint it green and it works fine...:icon_thumby:
