so i bought my first grease gun today and just used it. it seemed easy enough but i got it stuck on the fitting...? i am assuming this isnt normal, what can i do, i allways thought i would just pull it off. it is a trigger gun with a flex hose and the tip has a ball in it.

+1,i grease a lot of bearings in my trade and the flex hose grease fitting gets stuck alot.they eventually break in,but they can be aggravating till they do.

use a small flat head screw driver and try to pry and wiggle gently. it should pop right off if you do it right.

The grease chuck is designed to clamp tighter under pressure. If you pump against a blockage in the zerk or bearing the pressure will hold it locked on the zerk.

try pulling it off to the side as opposed to trying to pull it straight off.

Back off the tip a little by loosening up the collar for the first few uses, that generally keeps them from sticking so tight right off the bat. After a while it'll start to feel sloppy and you can snug it back up.
