So I just cut the front end off my 87 standard cab to be able to easily access the firewall (in advance of a 5.0 swap).
I found rust in both cowl corners at the drains and of course on passenger side I found the firewall above the blower motor is gone.
I HAVE factory AC and it is being deleted. I have removed the blower/evap housing completely and NEED to VISUALIZE a NON AC (heat only) blower motor housing.

As I see it, there is a fresh air door above the blower that can be opened, or the blower sucks air from the passenger foot area depending on the flapper door position. But if I delete by any operation or method the air opening for the evap through the firewall, then the blower will just stew in its own waste and not move air to and fro.
I need to visualize the blower housing and how it connects to the evap hole in the firewall. Or……. Is the weirdness in the INSIDE ducting and I’d need to replace the duct behind the glovebox (take the whole frigging dash out all the way to the firewall) so that it behaves correctly.

Or is it now impossible to keep heat and have removed the Evap housing??
Must the evap housing stay, shrinking in size (metalwork to make it low profile but still move air from blower housing side to the evap hole in the firewall…..????

need some pics of anyone has a NON AC teuck they can photo.

thanks in advance.

Might you be able to get me the F part number (ford number) off the housing??

And what are the chances the OBS 83-92 is too vastly different from new years to be used? Meaning, is it possible the 96-2011 might be close enough to use (bolt pattern, etc)??

I didn't ask for your life story, just answer the question!

The 95+ HVAC housing is completely different. Plus, it doesn’t come without A/C... it does, but it’s the exact same shape. It’s just not drilled for the A/C evaporator lines.

I actually decided to mod my AC version and will post pictures and method to convert.

HVAC sheet metal scraps, my Fein tool and snips with some rivets.

The one pictured on the red ranger can be purchased. It belongs to my brother and the ranger is a parts rig. I’ll ask him if he wants to remove it. What’s it worth to you?
