Mystery wire

Recently bought truck and I'm ironing out a few problems. One is this wire found hanging down by the starter. Any ideas where it goes?

Single wire so probably oil pressure switch.

Oil pressure guage is working.

I have a 94 too and will give a look today to se if I can locate

It could be for the oil level sensor that some of these trucks had.

Ok bottom of the pan then. I'll have a look.

Its a broken oil level sensor connector. The idiots that changed my oil pan gasket must have broken it. Have to rockauto a new connector.
