*not sure if this is where i should post this or not*
Hey I was given a topper by a friend but it doesn't fit my Ranger so I decided to sell it, I have no idea what it's off of and neither does my buddy who gave it to me, the dimensions are 62" wide by 74" long, it's fiberglass and is the flush to the cab style topper, I'm thinking it might be off a tacoma but I have no idea what size those are, anyways, if anybody knows what its off of or how to figure it out I'd appreciate a heads up
thanks

You say it doesn't fit your ranger... Is it too wide/long?

My dad used to have a full-size canopy on his Dakota, he just bolted the topper to some strips of steel, which were then mounted to the bed rails.

A tacoma is another small truck, so if it doesn't fit your Ranger I dont see it being from one of them.

Without pictures I can't make any guesses as to what it could have come off, but in my experience canopies will go onto whatever has the right size rails regardless of what it came off.

Honestly I don't even want the topper, i don't like them on trucks. It's a nice, newer fiberglass one that i want to sell, but I'd like to know what it goes on before i post it, off the top of my head i cant remember how it fit.. i think it was close on the width but a little wide, and then it was too long with the flush-fit look, i'll post a picture of it

Looks like it is from a full size. F-150 or some such.

Pretty sure it is a Dodge. The pre -97 F150 has a 90 degree angle between the cab and bed. The 97 and up F150 looks like this below. See how my topper hugs the cab? The sticks out on the bottom.

That is because we do things right up here.

I have seen some later body F-150s with a similar shaped cap. I don't know that it was the right one, but it fit.

We call them shells, caps, or toppers here in the city. I've heard lots of the country folk around here call them campers or sleepers though.

OK, I'll take a better stab at this. I'm 99.9% sure that is a Leer made topper. More specifically the 100XR series.

Based on the dimensions, I think it's an early Toyota Tacoma unit.

X2 on the Leer 100xr.

Though it could be a Century. They and a few other companies are all manufactured by the parent company, TAG, Truck Accessory Group.

And it's called a "camper shell"... Weirdos.

I call it a cap... But around here they call it a camper shell. Finding one on craigslist is frustrating when you have to search 50 different names for one, lol. I hate them too, but they have their place with camping and a good place for the dog on long trips.

That's a great-looking camper shell (UrbanRedneckKid had it right). Would love to have one with that roof rack. Maybe if you could find another model number on it besides the 100XR, then Leer or whoever might be able to tell you what it came off of.
