I want to keep it fairly low, so whatever I have to do to get the dana 44 (fullwidth) to clear the engine crossmember, maybe 4-6" suspension, along with the 3" body lift that's already on it. And I plan on 36-38" swampers, whatever I come across. That looks sweet. What size lift ant tires you plannin on runnin?
I believe it has stock manifolds, and it is TIGHT to the steering shaft, but no interference. I'm away from it right now, but I'll get more pics of the engine when I get back.what exhaust manifolds does it have? Any steering shaft interference?
The way I see it, if the 1/2 ton shit doesn't hold up, I can upgrade and keep them around for another project. And why can't I stay low with 36's?I have a sawzall and I'm not afraid to use it.I like to see 335 series engines in Rangers. I don't much care for the hood though. Also, that is quite a contradiction- Keep it low/36s?
The 44 won't hold up well to a 400 w/35s. At least it will take careful use of the right foot.
Good luck.
Sounds like he got it that way.I can’t see the pictures. Did you put the 351m/400 in there or did you buy it like that? I know this is an OLD topic, but I am looking to do the same swap now, but into an ‘86 bronco 2.
