It really only sits about 11/2 " lower than stock with stock tires, but I am running a 28" tall tire now, as for the top I looked at making it removable but just did not have to time to do it I really wanted to get it on the road this year, but it is something that I may do in the future when I have more time. As for fuel economy I have not even check it I only drive once or twice a week I have to keep the mile low on it since it has classic plates. The 5.0 and 5 speed does make it a lot more fun to drive it started off with a auto in it and I had way to many problem with the auto so in went the 5 speed. As for ever changing it back to 4wd drive it would not take much but I don't ever see that happening.
Definitely doesn't look like it was lowered much. Glad to hear you like your setup though. I think it looks really good the way you did it.

as for it not looking like it is not lowered much that is mostly due to the 2wd Bronco II's sit at the same ride height as the 4wd drive ones, it is something that ford did for some un known reason, I do know that if you want to use ranger beams on it you have a lot more to change out than I had to do with the Bronco II parts.

The plan for it after I get my wifes car done is four link in the rear with ether coil overs or bags and custom drop beams for the front, and than drop the tire size a little.

Right now with the way the rear is set up it hooks up very nice and I know with some work after changing to a four link it will still hook up good if not better than it does now.

yea , I looked at the mustang hoods too and I like the look of the grabber hood , I guess I just like different for some reason, I got to get the other mods done first and than I will work on the spare hood to make it the way that I want it in other words a winter project.

Might not be old anymore . I want to keep the shell on mine I was just interested In how he cut the top part of the gate to make it lay right but if you have pictures of how the tailgate goes in that would be helpful as well

you have to mod the tailgate section of the bronco body with ranger parts and use a ranger tailgate....

you simply cut the bronco hatch to the dimension to land on top of the gate...

and the existing window frame internals in the bronco hatch line up just right....as a coincidence....a happy coincidence.

but its that simple...if swapping a tailgate from a ranger on is simple.
