Get it into mud and it wont know the difference. But the rear will be pushing the front, generally you want the front to pull. But I would ge them change out ASAP.
working on that.. was going to do that today but had a few things to finish up at the shop from yesterday...btw front cv shafts are a PITA on a 2000 isuzu amigo. got that done and replaced the clutch in a 96 sunfire....so now i get to work on my truck tomorrow

none yet... got to get the new front springs ordered and new shocks.

i do have a ?? though. does any know of a quicker ratio steering box that swaps into the rangers? i did this on my v8 s10 and it made it so much better to drive and would like to do the same to the ranger.

well... that would be the same box the ranger ang bII's use according to hollander. of course they say ratios differ..ie lock to lock. so if some one know what id# to look for to get a close ratio, i am thinking maybe the f150 lightnings from the late 90's would be that way but in hollander they are not seperated out.

research... research... research

My truck is running a fullsize Bronco steering box. Bolted right on, just had to change the pitman arm to the ranger one.

same box as the ranger uses... still haven't found a a site or info to decode the steering ID tags to know what ones are close ratio

thinking about grabbing a close ratio camaro box and comparing the mounting points... would have to make custom hoses for sure but i think the steering shaft would fit. not sure on the pitman arm.... more research :dunno:

i run a big ol 150 box. it is not the same as a ranger box. its the straight axle box.

its an over rail model.

you can adapt a camaro box or jeep box as well, but the out rail gm 2wd truck box is easy to adapt as well. if you upgrade to a p pump the gm boxes will be easy to plumb at least.

same as me mine isn't the normal IFS box that was universal. The Jeep pump looks to be an easy swap as well after looking at my XJ's. I would stick to a larger pump like the one in a durango (same as Jeep but larger)
