Thought the explorer axle was the same. Was much wider. The stock 8.8 was like 56.5". Im guessing the Exp axle was 59" or 60". Had just scored a sick set of centerlines with nice rubber off craigslist that fit the old 8.8 PERFECT too. Was kinda bummed. The wheels I have on there now are 17x9's. Got em from a kid who drifts in my area for $15 each, lol. 3.5 offset so about a 6.5 backspace. I had 245/50's but they rubbed the fender too much so I got 235/55's and rolled my fender a little with a baseball bat and now its ok. Im still kinda shocked that the whole thing bolted right up. I had to drill holes for the sway bar and the trac bars wont work but everything else went in easy. Given I have the axle flip brackets...
