Dang! Love that truck. I had a '53 back when I was 16. Sold it though... still not sure why. I guess 'cause I was a broke high school student, and didn't have the proper funds to put into it. :annoyed:

So nice though, love it!
same story here, i had a 56 f100, except i "sold" it to my dad and its still sitting in the barn

Overrated my ass. I only know of a few people around here that have built 383's. I see more 302's and 350's than anything else. As for the 327 comment...you made me laugh.

my buddy has 5 327's , and the latest one he built for his 64 C-10 is an animal but of course it did come from a 64 Corvette :D

and at the college i go to , everyone that does not have an engine of their own out of their own vehicle to build goes to the local scrap yard , picks up a SBC and builds a 383 , then sells it , the cool ones i see are the 408 stroker SBM's and the .040 440 BBM with the 6-Pack and the Mopar performance 'Purple' cam

EDIT: Last years senior class , there were 16 383's built between august and may , an average of 4 per 7.5 week class

yea , there are a lot of them in my area , i thin i can cout 6 383's for every 10 350's out here , that is the reason my plans for the 72 went from 383 to , Build the 427 out of the Dump Truck , to a mild 355 build

is that a 4 bolt block ?

My credo
The fun begins where the pavement ends
Those Jeep Wrangler/ trailer kit tailights actually suit that truck pretty well. She's a beaut Tom.
