(The day it came home)

4x4, STX, e-locker, tow package. Paid 32k for it on presidents day of '21, price including a 2.5" rough country leveling kit and re-alignment.

(Post leveling kit & 255/75/17s)

I had some 255/75/17 kenda klever mt's put on when the dealer installed my leveling kit. I liked the tire, especially for the price. NO good in snow however.

I drove the truck just like that for 26k miles or so happy as a clam before I did anything else..

A while back I found a deal on some +18 offset method wheels wrapped in 8k mile 275/65/18 general grabbers, new black lugs included for 450$ 😎 too good to pass up. Between the width and offset the tires rub on the crash bars a little while reversing at full lock, definitely need aftermarket bars for any real off road action.

Then I installed an AFE muffler delete. I didn't want anything too loud.. this is perfect IMO. With the radio at a reasonable volume you really can't hear anything from the exhaust at cruising speed.

Finally I slapped on a set of hazard fart aluminum bed racks (cut the legs down 4") so I could haul around a canoe. I'll likely modify them so they can hold some fuel cans or a hi-lift at some point.

I'm 400ish miles shy of hitting 30k, and it's been nothing but smooth sailing from the trucks end. It's gotten me 20-21 mpg consistently. I've been doing, and will continue to do 5k mile oil changes.. if for nothing but peace of mind.

Had the rear end fluid and transfer case changed at 27k, at 55-60k I'll have both changed again along with the front axle and I'll start exchanging my trans fluid. Probably won't bother changing any again until the truck hits 125k or so.

I LOVE this truck. It WAS honestly a bit of an impulse buy.. no one knows how long they got, right? So.. all I knew was that I wasn't gonna shit the bed without owning a nice new vehicle.. so I went and got one lol.

It's the perfect truck for me. It's enjoyable to drive and look at, it'll tow pretty much anything I'd ever want to bring home, it gets decent fuel mileage, it's easy to modify, it's capable off road, and it didn't cost an arm and a dick.

MASSIVE upgrade from my old 2010 2.3 2wd 5spd reg cab. Massive upgrade from ANY ranger we got prior to 2019. It's all the old trucks were and MORE..

-more power
-more efficient
-more capable in just about every aspect
-more comfortable

...and Infinitely more refined.

The old trucks.. even one that's leather and loaded.. just feel like your in a cheap, dated, throwaway of a vehicle IMO.

Getting out of my 2010 and into the 2019 at the dealership felt like a huge leap forward in time. Felt like going from a Yugo to a Mercedes (without the massive issues of either lol)

I'm extremely happy I went all YOLO and bought the ranger. I'd do it again, and again, and again if I needed to. I really don't even have any complaints about it. Solid 9.5/10 for me. Deducted a half for... idk... I wish the window switches were a little further forward.

Nice...

I want to do a build thread for my truck too.

You guys and the new trucks... I feel like I'm gonna cave in to the pressure. Not sure the wife will let me have three trucks though.

Tell her you found 2 more trucks that you’re going to buy and comprise on just 1.

I felt it was time. There isn't a whole lot of '19+ representation on TRS, so even though my 'build' is really super mild I just wanted to get it out there.

The new trucks ARE really super nice compared to the old ones... I don't think you'd regret spending the money on one. I'll get more into why in my reserved post once I have the time.

There is a lot of 5g stuff here... we lack in 6g. Have you learned nothing?

Kidding... kind of.

When I do a new truck... 7g.

The only thing that would get me to buy a 6g at this point would be a super cab 6 ft box they were clearing out to make way for the next gen. 2024 MY isn't that far away.

Thought what? That the ‘24 MY isn’t that far away?
That the next model year wasn't that far away.

People are complaining they are ordering their cars for the third time now...
