Just "completed" my first AR-15 build today.
This road started almost a year and a half ago with the purchase of a Patriot Defense Stripped Lower as part of a group buy. Couple months later I purchased the CMMG Lower Parts Kit, and it sit like that till about 3 weeks ago. 3 weeks ago I found a Palmetto State Armory Completed Upper (Blemish) for an awesome price.

Specs:
Patriot Defense Stripped Lower
CMMG Lower Parts Kit
Mil-Spec Buffer, Spring, Buttstock
Paletto State Armory Upper
16", 1:9 Twist, Full Rail, Etc.. nothing fancy, but I like it
M16 Bolt Carrier Group
Bravo Company USA Mod 4 Gunfighter Charging Handle
Magpul Flip Up Back-Up Sights

Looks good!

I got my first AR Mdash16 in 1971....

it was slightly used and the barrel curved to the left about 3/16....."

it also jammed at the most in-opportune times.....

but I know yours will do a lot better!

Nice! I'm not usually a fan of full length rails, but that one I like. Unfortunately my eyes don't allow open sights at the distances I like to shoot so I stick to using a sight, or a red dot for close range stuff. Since I got no real use for the rails I'll probably just get a basic tube type free float for mine, I just want an extended length one and they ain't cheap.

Looks like you got two good lookers there. I'm kinda envious of both. I headed out for a day at the range with my AR (and other guns), got about 20 miles down the road and the truck started running hot. Needless to say I didn't make it this weekend. As for the other good looker, we just don't have enough around here like that, the ones that seem to be are taken.

looks good man, just finished building my first one too. i also used a mod 3 BCM CH.

PSA has had some badass deals lately, i wish i had waited a bit to build mine, could have saved about $200. oh well, that's how it always goes, right?

I like the full rails. Always have. Idk why really. I also tend to like open sights at shorter distances..even over a red dot.

And yeah...be jealous. :thefinger: She's awesome. Cati and I have been together over 3 years and every day has been awesome.
She likes my XDm 45 to. :shok:

after the pic, we have moved to the "thumbs forward" grip. :icon_thumby:

yeah, their Labor day deals were awesome. I could have saved a few dollars to.

What we have noticed after posting the pic of Cati and the AR..... you can see the empty brass in the air.

let's catch this up to date...
Not done to much other than shoot the thing.
Added A Magpul front grip.

Caught an AWESOME deal on a budget friendly red dot on Black Friday. Primary Arms. Nothing fancy but for $45 who can complain if it holds zero.
