So the Mustang needs tires. I am having ideas in my head-brain....

Does anyone know if a Fox body Mustang can fit 215/75/15s?

I'm thinking it would look pretty good with some BFG All Terrains.

In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.

Fox body is my least favorite Mustang next to the Mustang II. Toss a 2.9l in it, douse it with gasoline and light a match.

That's a fairly tall tire for that style car. I would be concerned about the tires hitting something. You can do a google search and compare the size that is on it now and the size you want to put on and see what the height difference is, divide by 2, and add that to the existing tire to see if it would fit. Sounds confusing but it should be easy. You gonna put some trailer tires on your mustang?

A flaming 2.9 can still out torque any 3.0.

4 lug or 5 lug wheels? I think someone I know has that size on their 94 cobra or maybe they have 17's either way it rubs the sway bar on the passenger side and the lower control arm when turned to the driver side but those are wider AM wheels

4-lug. If it had 5-lugs this wouldn't even be a question, I'd just pull a wheel off the B2 and try it.

I hear yea... I dont know how much of a beast your car is but LMR is remaking the 10 hole fox body wheels and I would love it if they made them in 5 lug so I could put them on my ranger. Perfect for sleepers

Beast? More like a tinny kitten. It is a 2.3L/5-speed that I got for free for the wife to drive instead of the Expedition while she was doing field nursing.

If I knew they would fit properly I'd look for a set of the Outlaw II rims like the ones my B2 came with, 5-lug swap it, and throw some 215/75/15 BFG All Terrains on it. I think that would look bad ass.

Pick up an '83 Continental rotor, put it on the Mustang spindle, then put your B2 wheel on.

And do what with the rear exactly?

My plan, when the time came, was to round up Ranger axle shafts, and use the front hub/rotor from an SN95, which is also supposed to be a direct swap, more or less.

I figured you had enough spare Ranger/BII parts that you would have the correct axles and drums.

I swapped front knuckles, hubs, rotors, calipers (I used Cobra), hoses, etc onto a Fox years ago. IIRC, the ball joint was taller, we had to use a washer or 2 under the castle nut.

I've also done the Continental rotor/ Ranger axle & drum swap. Very cheap and easy.

I haven't kept any of my 28 spline axles. I ditched them all after putting the Explorer axle in the Ranger and before I got this car. All I have at the moment is a 31 spline 8.8. I should try putting 10 inch drums on it though.
