did you install mud flaps on your 19 or 20 Ranger ? pictures please.

I ask because I received a set from my kids as a present, made by Weather tech. I went to install the front set & 1st thing I notice there are parts missing. call weather tech &
they will send out the parts. I start looking over the rear set & notice the part number the man quoted is not for the front set but for the rear
no big deal I think, so onward with the installation of the front using the parts from the rear set. go to install the last screw at the bottom of the mud flap & there is
NO hole for the screw !
I am now a bit ticked off due to the issues I am having. I like this set because they are made to fit my Ranger & no drilling required.
phone call#2 to Weather tech. they will send another pair of fronts plus a shipping label to return the set that is not drilled.
that is ok but today is nice out & who knows what the weather will be like when the new ones arrive. what`s the old saying about 1st impressions ?
for me weather tech is just so-so. I will save my final opinion when the other set arrives........

I just ordered the factory ones when I ordered the truck. Sorry, no help there. If I get a chance, I can still take some pictures for you if you want.

I’ll try to remember to get them for you tomorrow. The SO is still using it since her clown car needs new winter boots and won’t pass inspection.

WeatherTech Mud Flap Installation

I installed these in Sept 2019.

The install only took about 1-1/2 hours. Pretty nice design as they are a "no drill". I may end up adding a screw though at the top into the plastic wheel molding. There is a small gap there and you know it will fill up with crud.

They do a nice job of covering the tire, without sticking out in the wind.

I'd rate the mud flaps a 9 out of 10.

The big reason I chose WeatherTech over the Ford factory splash guards is the Ford guards have the big Ford logo on them... like you need to have the Ford logo visible (3) times from the rear of the truck?

I'm pretty amazed at how well these have held up through last winter. The outside looks just as good today, as it did when I installed them. The "sheen" of the plastic has held up really well.

That first picture is great. Looks like kitchen cabinets in the background. I thought “Wow. This guy has a lift in his kitchen. That has got to be handy. Work on the truck, baste the turkey, grab a beer, work on the truck, etc.”

Wouldn't that be sweet. I could just plug an oven into my welder outlet though in the barn!

I bought the cabinets for our previous shop. It was pretty awesome. Had the building erected then did everything in the inside myself. Divider wall, lofts, insulation and the 2 post lift with cabinets. When we went to downsize and sell the home I went on and on with the realtor about the shop and she said, none of that will affect the selling price of the home. So I said fine, I'll take it all with us... and I did. We rented a storage unit near our new place and filled it with the shop stuff.. all hauled up in our 2002 Tacoma and 5' x 10' utility trailer. Once the barn was built moved everything into it.

When’s your next vacation trip. I need to know when I can move in without you knowing. That is beautiful.

Thanks!

No vacations, we're retired. For relaxation we just stay home and take pot shots at strange vehicles that drive by.. ;brownbag;

Just Kidding... :scare: ...or am I?

I haven't forgot about the OEM mud flap pictures. I just haven't been able to take pictures when it's day light.

Photo's of Ford OEM Mud Flaps (not my truck)...

The OEM Ford flaps don't hang down as far as the Weathertech's.... and the OEM's have the Ford logo, WeatherTech's do not have any logo.
