motor problem

Ok here it is I have a 88 ranger 2wd 2.9, with a manual tranny, Sometimes it runs with out a problem then other times it loads up and pours out black smoke, i shut the key off and it clears up and might stay away and other times it will come back with in a mile, the scanner throws a code at me bank 1 h02 sensor lean vaccum leak right this what I've tried
new computer
new fuel filter
new oxygen sensor
pcv valve
changed vaccum hoses
new air filter
new plugs

going to try a pressure regulator next, any Ideas I hate to keep dumping money into the truck,

Have you rechecked the codes after you've made repaires to see if another code is present?? ( clear codes 1st and then recheck)

pull the little vacuum line off the FPR...if fuel dribbles out...yes, then it is done and replace it. still could be bad but this is quick and easy.

IF issues still persist...then,
check fuel pressure
check grounds and connections
remove and check the TFI

I read a thing on o2 sensors in the tech library and found that a exhast leak near the o2 sensor will give the o2 sensor a false lean reading, bought a new gasket and high temp rtv, (won't leak agin) cleared up but didn't go completely away so I put another o2 sensor in that one got stuck in open loop. problem solved,
