This forum has helped tremedously the last 6 months, as I work on my "new to me" 2003 Ranger.
So Ill throw in some advice I just discovered.
When buying motor mounts, I chose 3.0 2WD as mine was, but discovered they were wrong.
There are only 2 types 4WD and 2WD, right, why wont it fit??
Answer, I have an Edge model, with torsion bars, technically a 4WD without the front differential.
So if you have torsion bars with a 2WD, choose 4WD for motor mounts!!!
I discovered this through a Ford dealer website parts catalog.
They are also left and right specific, as the left mount has a cutout to not contact the steering shaft.
Another way to tell, if your mount top bolts are staggered diagonally, its the 4WD mounts, if the bolts are
inline front to rear, then its the 2WD mounts.
Hope this helps
