I was looking this up on Wikipedia the other day because I too was curious about this.

Reason I was curious was now that I have my 93 XLT 4x4 I've been noticing Rangers more and more.

You couldn't shake a stick in any direction here in Washington State without hitting one there are so many of them!

I can drop it into Excel and come up with just over 6 million (6,051,992 w/o 2012, 6,071,358 with)

The 2012 sales confuse me...

I wonder why they nosedived so hard after 03?

The introduction of the colorado? Ford pushing 150s on everyone?

Colorado, facelifted taco, I think the Frontier was redone somewhere in there too.

Meanwhile here is the 1998 Ranger sold as a 2003-12 but still looks like a '93 with no available crew cab.

Whan I was shopping the 4.0 Ranger got about the same mileage as a V8 '150 which personally made it a hard sell. If I gotta get 17mpg I just as soon do it with a 5.4.

I did my part to contribute to 1999 sales. First Ranger I had. Supercab XLT 4x4, 3.slow, 5 speed, 4 door, L/S, tilt and cruise. Special ordered.

I bought my 09 brand new in late 2010. There were 5 identical dusty plain white fleet trucks in a row. The dealer was practically giving them away. I gotta find my bill of sale but I know I paid less than 14k. The F150s started at 10 grand more....eff that Ill take my cheap reliable little white truck!

I contributed for the 2008 year when I bought mine brand new and 10 years later and 139,000 miles and still running like new.
