Basing the new Ranger off this platform sounds like a win in my book.
No you got it backwards. They keep saying the Bronco is based off the next gen Ranger... despite the Bronco being out first. :secret:

What's with the cheesy hole in the door? Is that a windowless door option, or do you get a discount if you don't get the whole door?

That is actually a very expensive camera.
:ROFLMAO:Ah, I see it now. Didn't really look like a transfer case but the positioning was funny.

I am a bit blown away by the New Bronco... It's going to hard for me to hold off on ordering one. I was thinking (as others were) that the Warthog was most likely the one they showed with the factory 2" lift on 37" tires. An internal Ford person made a comment yesterday that the Warthog has not not been seen just yet. He stated that it is still "a couple years out... stay tuned". He also said... "It's going to be insane".

Although I'm happy that I've finally seen the New Bronco... I was sad that the thrill of the leaks and spy photos and tight lipped none disclosure stuff had ended. This announcement lets the excitement of the hunt for information live on a bit longer.

I also read that the rumors of a Bronco Pick up are just that... rumors.

Ford says they are going to focus those efforts on the New Ranger.
I hope the new Ranger gets a similar front end as the Broncos.

Just had to post this quote from the same person that made the statement about the Warthog...

"By the way, there is a lot more coming in the future with regards to Bronco. You haven't even come close to seeing everything yet. Let's just say that the plan is to keep the Bronco buzz going strong for the next several years.

Also, my understanding is that a lot of things will be available as standalone options that can be purchased after the fact. The idea is that you could buy a base model if that's all you could afford, but slowly add additional parts to make it more capable."

I can't imagine what's left... the hunt for what's next continues!

I hope the new Ranger gets a similar front end as the Broncos.
It's the same architecture... I'm thinking the Bronco is showing us what is coming for the Ranger in many ways. It does make wonder if the next Gen Ranger might better suit my overall needs.

My plan A is to buy a Bronco and keep my current Ranger... because I simply can't imagine day to day life without a pick up truck in the driveway.

Plan B is to see what Ford has up their sleeve on the yet to been seen Ranger.

I wonder if I can convince the wife that I NEED two new trucks?

See also Grand Cherokee Trackhawk - which locally Jeep dealers have been trying to unload 2019 models for below dealer cost.

I hope Ford isn't over selling the enthusiast market, at expense of masses.
Sasquatch packages with their 4.70 gears have their place, but the bread & butter Wrangler comes with 3.45 gears and is therefore acceptable as a mall crawler. And majority of Jeeps are mall crawlers...

Ford I think has done this better than most. Sasquatch is independent of trim level. So you can get top trim without being forced into all the offroad stuff.

The masses don’t know the difference between 4.70 and 3.45 gears... They don’t care either. What they do know is it accelerates faster during the test drive.
